He's gonna hate me, but I'm so proud!!

Akoni finally got his Diploma and went and had it framed. We're so excited to finally have it and have it displayed!!

Cute Bath Pictures!

The kids took a bath and put a little too much bubbles in the tub. So here are some cute pictures of them playing with the bubbles! It doesn't look like a lot, but the tub was filled with bubbles!

I promise these are the last Birthday Pictures!!

The Hoskins gave Kenyon some Pirate wall clings. They are so cool, but they kept falling off the wall onto him at night, so we had to put them on his door. They are still way cool, he loves them.

The Emonts gave him the Dinosaur and he thinks it is the greatest! Adriann keeps trying to make it play with her Barbie horse, but then when you press the button and it starts to make the dinosaur noises and stomp all over, it kind of over powers the poor horse!

Kenyon was a little tired after his big day!

More Birthday

Just some pictures of presents we gave him.

Kenyon's Birthday

Well I had to get this posted before February. Kenyon had his 3rd birthday on the 26th. I cannot believe that he is 3!!! Well here are some pictures of his birthday. He is Obsessed with "Ghost Pirates" as he calls them, it's from a Scooby Doo episode where the mystery is solving who the "Ghost Pirates" are. He LOVES them. So he wanted a Pirate themed birthday. It's weird that he actually has an opinion about that kind of thing. Is he old enough to care? Yes he is aparently. WEll Akoni and I made his cake, and it was sooo much fun. I hated cutting into it because it was so fun to make and looked so cute!

Can I have some Makeup?

That is Kenyon's favorite line. You can definitely tell he has a big sister. On monday they got a little bored and so while I was cleaning the house Adriann got out her makeup she got from aunty Rachel for Christmas and she and Kenyon had a blast putting on makeup. I'm not sure it is the best activity for Kenyon, but they had so much fun.

Mmmmm Dad's Stroganoff!!

We had some friends that were in Monterey for their Anniversary this past weekend, the same weekend that my parents were visiting. Well it just happened to be Ronell and Briawna Hugh. Briawna and I worked together at Abercrombie and Fitch in the mall years ago, remember that Briawna? and her mom is my mom's really good friend. Also Ronell served his mission with Akoni, small world! So they let us know they were here and my dad made his famous Crock Pot Stroganoff and we had them over to dinner on Sunday. It was so fun to have them over, we haven't seen them in a few years. Too bad they couldn't bring their kids, but ours were enough entertainment for the evening. And Briawna was such a good sport to play hide and go seek with Adriann. Sorry about that! As for dinner, I have never seen a Crock Pot as full as ours got. Adriann got to be my Dads helper and cover all the meat with flour. She was thrilled to be able to help. So here is a picture of them in action!

Visit from Mom and Dad Ekman

My parents came and visited us this weekend. They could not have picked a more beautiful day to fly in. We have had lots of rain, well for here lots of rain, and it cleared up for them thankfully! The day they got here they just wanted to sit in the backyard and soak in the sun and watch the kids run around. Then we went down to the wharf. I had never been there so it was a lot of fun to walk around all the cute little shops. We even found a place with Cotton Candy!! Believe it or not, we can't find any place that sells it fresh on cannery row any more, so we never get any! Well now we know where to go to get it. We got some cute pictures while we were there.

Chikalatas!!

One meal that I can make that has chicken in it that the kids will eat are Chicken Enchilladas. Well Adriann loves to help me make them and calls them Chikalatas! We used to just call them Cheesey Enchilladas, which she turned into Chikalatas. She actually doesn't know that there is Chicken in it because it's not in the name, so we now call them Chikalatas!! And the kids devour them! So here is a picture of Adriann's finished batch about to go into the oven!

Adriann's Party

Some Pictures of Adriann's Party.

Adriann's 5th Birthday

Is she really 5? Well Adriann decided that she wanted a Hello Kitty party. Since I have decided that I am going to make all of my kids birthday cakes I guess I had to make a Hello Kitty cake. It was actually really fun. The bow was the hardest part, but I think it turned out pretty good! Hey, it just got eaten in the end.

Adriann's Birthday at Chuck E. Cheese

Adriann turned 5 on January 5th, so for Adriann's Birthday with our family she wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese. It was CRAZY! But it was so fun! I think I would sit at the Ski Ball all night with Akoni if we had our way. We ended up getting lots of tickets, even though about half the games didn't work, and the kids got to pick out some lame toys. They really need to get new prizes. But it was a good time.

After Chuck E. Cheese we went home and Adriann got to blow out her candle on a cupcake that she made. B

Here is Adriann singing Happy Birthday to herself in true Adriann style!! Just click on the picture below.

Christmas

Well I can't believe it. I barely took any pictures on Christmas Day. So here are the few I took. I did take a lot of video, but I have no idea how to put that on the computer. So here is what the pictures are. Kenyon got a 49ers Jersy from Akoni and thinks he is so cool in it. He also got this really cool pirate ship. It shoots cannons and came with pirate accessories. It's the highlight present of Christmas.

Dad I tried to do you justice.....

Every Christmas morning my dad wakes up and makes a cinnamon roll christmas tree out of Gram's roll recipe. Well I realized Christmas eve that I had no yeast. So I searched the internet for a non yeast dough and I found one. So I attempted to make the traditional cinnamon roll christmas tree for Christmas morning breakfast. Akoni thinks it looks like an arrow more than a tree. Whatever, it was hard to make. The picture is of before it got cooked. I thought it actually turned out pretty good. No one else like it, but oh well, I'll make sure I have yeast next year!!

Christmas Eve part 2

Here are our stockings all hung up and the cookies that Adriann helped make and decorate for Santa. The kids were so excited for Christmas but they actually went to bed and did not make a sound once we shut their door. Wow, maybe we should have Christmas all the time!!

Christmas Eve

So we have a tradition in our family that on Christmas Eve we open all the extended family and friends gifts. So we got to open some fun presents. Here are the kids favorite gifts from Grandpa and Grandma Ekman. Adriann loves Barbies and horses, so this was the perfect gift for her.

Kenyon is just starting to get into Turtles, so this was his first real big turtle. He loves it!!

Akoni and I got some fun gift certificates to help buy some new stuff for the house we just moved into.

Gifts from the Phillippines

Papa and Gammie Ganir sent some adorable gifts to the kids from their mission in the Phillippines. Adriann got this adorable shirt and some cute pink flowered pants. Kenyon got an awesome basketball jersey that matches one that papa has. You can check out his cool jerseys on their blog. They are in our friends and family.

Aunty Rachel Came To Visit!!

My sister Rachel came up to visit us right before christmas. So we let the kids open her presents while she was there. Kenyon is obsessed with pirates right now and she got him 4 figurines from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. He loves to carry them around. Adriann got some awesome bellbottom jeans, I don't have a picture of them, and also a purse full of makeup! As you can tell by the picture she is very good at putting it on!! The green eyeshadow is her favorite and she always puts tons of it on. And no she is not allowed out of the house with it on.

Gingerbread House

Okay so I am kind of lame, I buy Gingerbread House kits. I think that they are fun. They are messy and I think Kenyon only ate the candy and did not put any of it on the actual house, but it was fun.

Kenyon's Cool Shoes

When Akoni was on his mission he bought some Jordan shoes and some matching kids Jordans. He has been waiting so that his son could wear them, and Kenyon finally fits into them. She here is a picture of him wearing them while he is playing a video game!! GO BLAZERS!!
