Does anyone know how to change the color of my blog? The red part where all the writing is? I know how to change the background picture, but not the other part. HELP!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AKONI!

So yesterday was Akoni's 29th Birthday! I can't believe we are almost 30! Yikes! Anyway, we took him a big Costco cake to work and some balloons. We also got him his Baskin Robbins cake that I am sopposed to get every year, but I have only gotten him 4 out of 7 years now. At least now I'm above 50%. And I am sad that I didn't get to make him a cake, but he is particular about the ice cream cake so if I made him one he would have gotten 3 cakes and that's too much cake to have lying around the house! Then Akoni and I went to a movie and dinner. Well mall food dinner, but who cares, it was just us and it was fun! We went and saw Jumper. We both really liked it. I know it didn't get good reviews, but it was a fun movie! I would recommend it but don't take kids. They swear a little (and the f* word) and someone gets stabbed in like the first 20 minutes! But other than that it was fun! My good friend Erin came and watched the kids for us and even got some of Akoni's coveted ice cream cake! Lucky girl! So thanks to her for a fun night out without the kids.

WORD WORLD

So I just barely discovered WORD WORLD, thanks to my sis-in-law Shanetta. It is the GREATEST tv show EVER for kids. It's the only thing they watch now. WEll for now because we are doing without tv for a month, but I have to have it in the car for in the mornings with my job. (I'll write about my job later!) Anyway, if you know about the show this was make you laugh, it made me laugh! Adriann colored this.

Adriann's New Bed

Well we thought that since Adriann was sleeping on her toddler mattress on the floor and rolling off of it at night because she is WAY too big for it, we thought we would get her a Twin Bed. Don't you think that by 5 they should not be sleeping on their crib mattress? And the reason she was sleeping on the floor was because her bed wouldn't fit thru all the doors and around the corner into her room in this house. So when we moved we just put her bed outside and the kids played on it and then covered it with mud and so we hucked it. It was one of those cute plastic beds where the headboard was a house and had two windows you could open, it was really cute. And yes, it could have been taken apart and then put back together in her room, but there is a long story behind that bed. The short story is: It was full of earwigs when we got it, I washed it out, and hot glue gunned every hole that I could find on that bed so that if any earwigs were left they could not get out! So I really wasn't wanting to take it all apart.

Anyway, so we got Adriann a Twin Bed for a steal of a deal off of Craigslist, and she got to pick out her own bedding. So this is what she picked out! And I must say that she has had it now for a few weeks and she has only slept in our bed 1 night since!!! and that was Akoni's doing because he is a sucker for the tears!!

So my sweet Mother-in-law has been finding signs with all of her kids names on them while she is in the Philippines. She and my father-in-law are on a mission right now for our church in San Pablo. Well she just happened to find a sign with my name!! I am so excited, it's fun to find signs with your name. So here it is. It's a sign for Coconut Pies!

Changing your background

Okay, so I will try to have this make sense. It's really easy once you get it. Here are the steps:

1) Go to Photobucket.com and get an account there.

2) Copy any picture that you want to your account by uploading it. You can also browse thru their site and find pictures. Just make sure that you upload whatever you want for your background to your account.

3) Go back to your blog and go to edit HTML, It's under layout.

4) Here's the tricky part: Under edit template you will see a section that says "body" you have to look for it, it's not really easy to find. Once you find it, 7 lines down you will see "background".

5) It will look like this: background#3959280 url ("http://i2465.photobucket.com/albums/blahblahbla.jpg") Yours won't have that same thing obviously.

6) ERASE EVERYTHING WITHIN THE ( ). LEAVE THE ( ).

7) Go back to photobucket to the picture that you want for your background. Under the picture you want it will say "DIRECT LINK". COPY THAT LINK!!

8) Go back to your blog and paste that link in between the ( ).

9) Preview it to make sure it worked. If you like it, SAVE IT!!


***Hope that works for you. If not let me know. Mine still says phyzam at the top because you have to delete it somewhere, but I don't know how to do that.***

DO YOU LIKE MY NEW BACKGROUND?

So I have to give all of the credit to Vanessa for my new background. Well I took the picture actually, but she helped so that I could finally change it without all of the hassle of having to reenter all my friends and family names. THANK YOU VANESSA!!!! The background says is Pyzam, but it's not. It is actually just a picture I took. Anyway, let me know if you need help because it's really easy and you can use any picture you want!!
