Fun with my Sister!

My older Sister Andrea is visiting for the past couple days before we all head out for Oregon on Friday. We had a fun day yesterday at the beach looking at hermit crabs. Today we went to the Aquarium and then to another beach and played in the sun since it was sooo nice today. All the kids got sunburnt, oops, but it was a ton of fun!

2 DAYS LEFT!!!!!

I am so excited for SATURDAY!!!! Breaking Dawn comes out and I can't wait!! We're heading for Oregon tomorrow, so hopefully I have time to get some reading done, but who knows if that will happen. I'll write about our trip when I get back!! Hope everyone has fun this next week!

What a big girl!

Well Adriann can finally ride her bike without training wheels! She has spent the last couple of days riding her little bike because she won't ride her new bike that we got her because the training wheels bend and so the bike is lopsided. So she just kept riding the little one with no training wheels and can finally ride it without falling! So we took the training wheels off the big bike and she is loving it! She just sits in the garage and rides circles all day!
So yesterday Kenyon told me the cutest thing and it made me so happy. He said "Mom, I love going to church, it makes me soooo happy!" I'm gonna write that down because I'm sure that when he's older he won't have as much enthusiasm as when he was 3!

At least we know it's hard to break in!!

So we have our bedroom door as a locked door so we can lock the kids out at night. It's not so we can get frisky, I can't stand them sleeping with us because they are both kickers and I don't really want to be peed on by Kenyon. So today I am babysitting my friends two kids and I locked both sets of keys to our bedroom in the bedroom!! Well long story short, our bedroom cannot be broken into. My friend Sarah's husband Joe tried and could not get into the sliding glass door to our bedroom. The only other option was to take the screen off of the tiny bathroom window above the shower and put my friend's son Slate thru the window so that he could unlock the door from the inside. The reason we chose to send Slate thru the window is because he is tall and skinny and so there was less distance from the window to the floor of the shower for him to fall. So it all went to plan and we were able to get back into our bedroom!!

Carmel Carmel Everywhere, Why did you put it in your hair?

So I fell asleep on the couch which right there means BIG TROUBLE awaits when I wake up!! Well I woke up to: Carmel squirted ALL OVER MY CARPET!! And the kids had walked all thru it, so it was ALL OVER MY CARPET! Then I walked into the bathroom and they were sitting on the counter squirting it in their hair! I'm not sure why, but they did. WEll the rest of my night was horrible and that's all I'm gonna say because I really don't want to relive it all. But I will say, that I now hate carpet and I wish I could have ripped it all out because carmel does not come out of carpet without scrubbing for about 4 days.

Adriann's Highlights

No, not cool things that she has done, yes actual highlights in her hair!! My friend Ember, who's in the pictures, does my hair, and she had some blond left over from my friend's hair that she was also doing, so she put some highlights in Adriann's hair!! I have wanted to do it, but I always thought that Akoni would flip out, but he was the one that actually said that morning, "Are you going to have Ember put some highlights in Adriann's hair?" So I said "Yessss!!!!" My friend had to take the pictures since I still don't have a camera, and so I don't have a picture of her with her hair dry, but you still get the idea, it's so cute!!!! And that's the first thing that she says to everyone that she sees now, "Do you see my highlights?" What have we done!

4th of July!!!

Well our 4th was sooo much fun. We started the day by having a flag raising/Breakfast at our church. Since I am on the activities committee, my friend Anita and I went and set up the night before. I would post a picture, but of course I still don't have my camera, but it looked soo cute. We had all the tables set up with red, white and blue table cloths. Then we (and a lot of helpers, thank goodness) made Pancakes, sausages and hashbrowns for about 100 people! It was so fun. Well I thought it was, it was very crazy in the kitchen, but I think it was a success!!

Then we all went home and rested.

Later we went and had a BBQ at our bishops house which was so fun. Then we headed over to Gilroy High School to watch the fireworks. It was a blast!! Okay, I know that's lame. But it was great. We sat right by the baseball field and they had all the fireworks set up on the baseball field. We were so close that you could feel the fireworks! It was kind of scary too because one of them malfunctioned and flew straight at where we were sitting. Thank goodness the fence was there!! So here is a video of the grand finale!!
