Visit to Oregon

We went to Oregon for a week and a half for my brother's Oregon wedding reception and to have a family vacation. IT was so much fun. We did lots of fun things, the zoo, cheese factory, multnomah falls, saw Star Trek and X-men, and ate at BV!! If you know what that is than you are cool! The next few posts are of our trip. We also got to see Akoni's parents who just got back from an 18 month mission to the Philippines, so that was fun to see them! We really missed them!

Another picture of Kenyon with his bubble muscles in my parents huge tub! He loves to take bubble baths!

Portland Zoo

We went to the Portland Zoo while in Oregon. The elephants had a baby and so we had to see the baby. She was soooo adorable. We happened to go to the zoo on such a beautiful day. We took a lunch and just took our time and walked around and had a blast.

On the Zoo Train. Not as cool as I remember, but the kids thought it was fun.

On the Train still.

In front of the Billy Goats on the way out, and of course the kids aren't looking, OH well.

Before we were even out of the parking lot! It was an exhausting day!

One of our MANY trips to the park!

My parents live by a park and so every day we would go and play. My kids found a love for the tire swing! I remember spinning around on a tire swing and loving it, but now even just pushing them around on it makes me dizzy. But they absolutely had a blast and no one threw up so that's good!

Tillamook Cheese Factory

Of course we had to visit the Cheese Factory! The kids had so much fun seeing how cheese is made and packaged and then sampling some cheese. I love the squeaky cheese, if you've been there than you know what that is!

Multnomah Falls

This was at a lookout house on our way to Multnomah Falls.

My mom and I took the kids to Multnomah Falls a huge waterfall in Oregon. We made a picnic lunch and hiked just to the bridge, it's like 7 miles to the top and I didn't want to push a stroller 14 miles and I really doubted the kids would have made it. But the bridge was far enough and it was a perfect day for it.

More Vegas Pictures.....

Here's Adriann dancing with Akoni, she thought is was soooo cool and kept wanting him to dip her like my brother did to his wife.

On the really really small balcony from our room. It was like 3 inches so we had always keep the door shut, but it was a beautiful view of the stream down below.

Adriann at the pool! It was great because the pool was only about 3 1/2 feet deep so Adriann didn't have to use her vest to swim. Yeah I know she's 6 and still can't swim, but honestly we never go swimming, so that's what we're going to do this summer is get the kids in lessons and get them swimming! But these water tube things were great for them to play with.

Kenyon on Akoni's back, he is terrified of the water (Kenyon, not Akoni!). He basically just hung out on the edge and a few times on the stairs, but he gets a death grip on you if you take him in the water!

Me and Kamden lounging by the pool!

I love this picture. The hotel room had one of those gigantic tubs that your whole family could fit in and so we filled it up with bubbles for Kenyon. This just shows how many bubbles were in the tub!! It was so much fun for him!

HOME SWEET HOME!!

So the past 3 months have been the most busy of my entire life. We had a baby, bought a house, gutted the house and completely remodeled it. So here is the first before and after picture. It is of our kitchen. It's my favorite place in the house right now. My bedroom should be, but it's full of boxes right now, so when they all get unpacked then I will show picture of it because it's pretty cool. So here is our kitchen without the hardware. I don't have a picture with the hardware, but there is stuff all over the kitchen right now so when it gets put away I post a better picture, but at least you get the point! Can you believe it's the same kitchen? And it's all Akoni's doing. He picked out everything, I'm so thankful for him because I have absolute NO eye for design or decorating.

Vegas was a BLAST!!!

We went to Vegas this weekend for my brother's wedding, I still can't believe that he is old enough to be married! Here are a few cute pictures from our trip. And I didn't get a picture of me winning $55 on a penny slot machine because I forgot my camera, but it was a great night! My sister and I went down to the casino in our hotel after I left the two older kids sleeping with Akoni and dropped the baby off with grandparents, wow what a great mother I am! Anyway, I went with $20, and left with $72.30!! So technically I didn't win $55, but that's what I won on one of the games, so I cashed out and called it a night! It was really fun, I think we were actually only in the casino for about 10 minutes while playing and then about 20 minutes while my machine had to add 5550 pennies to my account. Yeah I had to wait the whole time while it counted out each penny, only to find out after that all you had to do was push the spin button and it would count it faster! That just goes to show how often I gamble! But we had a fun time and are glad to be back home!
