On our Way to SunRiver!!

Our big trip this summer was to go to a BIG family reunion in Sunriver. That's in central Oregon. It was a lot of fun, but we drove so it was a looooong trip! So here are a few pictures of what we did. I put them all in separate blog entries so that there weren't a ton of pictures with no explanations. This first picture is of a place that we always stop to eat when we go to central Oregon called Poppa Al's. It's a hole in the wall, but they have the best food!! And they have real Peanut Butter Milkshakes that are the BEST!!

Pony rides! (reunion)

We took the kids to go on Pony rides and it was so cute!! They just walk around in a figure 8 like 3 times, but the kids had never been on horses before, so it was so much fun for them.

Swimming! (reunion)

Of course we went swimming!! It was so much fun. This year Adriann actually would go in the big pool all by herself. Of course she had to wear a life vest because she still can't swim, but it was nice to not have to hang onto her the whole time. She could go and swim with all the big kids and had such a great time. Kenyon on the other hand did not want to go into the big pool, so he and I just hung out in the kiddy pools and he loved it!

Riding bikes! (reunion)

Well luckily we had a place for our kids to ride their bikes in front of the house we were staying at because we tried to take them on a bike ride to the park.........Kenyon fell off his bike into a big bush, and Adriann was too scared to go down any of the hills. So this year we didn't do any bike rides. Oh well, the kids still had fun riding around the circle in front of the house. And Kenyon falling off his bike was more like he went of the bike trail and his training wheel got stuck in a bush and he slowly fell over into the bush. It was actually kind of funny because he just kept holding onto his handle bars and wouldn't let go until he had fallen all the way over into the bush.

Don't be jealous of our shirts!! (reunion)

These were the shirts that we all had for the reunion. It was actually really fun that all 80+ of us had them on and whenever we would all go anywhere everyone driving by would make comments. Nobody could believe that there were over 80 of us there. This picture was taken during one of the olympic games that we played each day. It was really fun to play games with all the families. The second picture of Akoni is him actually cheating at the game we were playing!! We had to carry one glass to a bucket and fill it with water and then do a swimming stroke on the way back and dump the water into a different bucket. Well as you can tell, Akoni has 2 cups!! It's okay, we were way ahead at this point, so it didn't really matter. And my uncle had taken his glass on his turn and thrown it on the opposing team, so really we deserved an extra cup of water!

Golfing! (reunion)

One day Akoni, my brother, my dad and brother-in-law all went golfing. They had a great time just having fun!

Princess and Pirate Parties! (reunion)

My Grandma had a Princess party for all the granddaughters. It was so cute, they each got tiaras, boas, and a cute little purse. She also fed them lunch on a castle placemat that they got to decorate with princess stickers. They also played pin the kiss on the frog, and played a game where they sat on pillows and one had a golf ball in it which represented a pea, and so if the girls could tell which pillow had the pea in it, that meant they were a real princess!! It was so fun for the girls. She put so much effort into the party and it was such a hit.

Then my Aunt had a Pirate party for all the boy grandkids. It was so fun, they went on a treasure hunt, got pirate names and the cute outfits that kenyon has on. All the boys had a great time and kept saying that they should go and attack the princess party!!

Family Pictures, and final reunion entry.

Here are some pictures of our family before we went and had some professional photos taken. We actually got a picture with all 80+ people that came to the reunion, but I don't have a copy of that picture. The photo's are: 1-Adriann and Paige with Uncle Matt, 2-All 5 grandkids, 3-Adriann and Kenyon with my Grandparents, 4-Our family, 5-My whole family.

Adriann's 2nd Tooth

Adriann finally pulled out her second bottom tooth that has been loose forever and the permanent tooth is already in behind it!

Adriann's School

Well here are some pictures of Adriann's school. It's Friday and so they can wear anything that they want to school, so I don't have the pictures of her in her uniform back yet. The pictures are of her in front of the school, at her desk, and with her teacher Mrs. Tope.

Another funny thing Adriann did at school

So the first day of school for Adriann we had to go to the office to check her in. The second day of school she had a dentist appointment in the morning so we had to go to the office to check her in. On her third day of school I decided to just drop her off at the curb because it lets her off RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER DOOR. So I asked her if she knew where to go and I pointed to her door and she said yes. She she got out of the car, shut the door and ran in the opposite direction to the OFFICE!! I thought it was so funny because I guess that's the only way she knew how to get to her class. So I had to go and park my car and go into her class to make sure that she made it and she did. It was pretty funny!! So today I had to make sure that she knew exactly where to go when I dropped her off and she ran right to her door!

Okay, I finally finished the book.

I won't spoil the book for anyone else that didn't finish it in the first week. I can't believe it took me so long to read it!! I kept reading it really slow because I hate when a series of books ends, so I wanted it to last as long as it could. But, the end is sooo good and so I had to finish it. WEll I must say that i LOVED the book. Did everyone else? And if you don't know what book I'm talking about then I must not know you! just kidding. Anyway, I am so sad that it's over, but I'm glad that it's the kind of series that I could read a few times.

But now I don't know what to read? Any suggestions?

I have a Kindergartner!

Did I even spell that right? I can't believe that Adriann is in Kindergarten. So it was kind of funny when I picked her up from school today. I'll back up, she was actually supposed to start last week, but we were out of town in Oregon, so she had her first day today. And we still don't have a camera, but we bought a disposable, so when I get the CD back from it when it gets developed I'll post pictures of our trip and school. So back to Adriann's first day of school. I guess that I never thought I had to teach her lunch bag etiquette. When I picked her up I opened up her enormous backpack and checked to see if she had even eaten any of her lunch. Inside I found an opened cup of applesauce and a not empty capri sun!! Did she not know that she should have thrown it away? Did she think it wouldn't spill? I had to laugh because I guess I never thought that I had to tell her those kind of things! Which gets me to thinking, what else am I forgetting to tell her that she should know? Oh well, all in all she had a great first day and was surprisingly NOT shy if you can believe it! AND, both she and Kenyon were dead asleep before 7:30! I am loving this school thing!
