HAPPY BIRTHDAY AKONI!

So yesterday was Akoni's 29th Birthday! I can't believe we are almost 30! Yikes! Anyway, we took him a big Costco cake to work and some balloons. We also got him his Baskin Robbins cake that I am sopposed to get every year, but I have only gotten him 4 out of 7 years now. At least now I'm above 50%. And I am sad that I didn't get to make him a cake, but he is particular about the ice cream cake so if I made him one he would have gotten 3 cakes and that's too much cake to have lying around the house! Then Akoni and I went to a movie and dinner. Well mall food dinner, but who cares, it was just us and it was fun! We went and saw Jumper. We both really liked it. I know it didn't get good reviews, but it was a fun movie! I would recommend it but don't take kids. They swear a little (and the f* word) and someone gets stabbed in like the first 20 minutes! But other than that it was fun! My good friend Erin came and watched the kids for us and even got some of Akoni's coveted ice cream cake! Lucky girl! So thanks to her for a fun night out without the kids.

Happy Birthday to Akoni! It's hard to believe that Jake is already 31! I'm not ready for that next step in my life. I would be happy to stay in my 20's forever.

Akoni, I can't believe you are 29. I was trying to remember how old you are without doing the math. I guessed wrong because I couldn't believe you were that close to thirty. I was in my thirties before I figured out who I was and what my strengths and weaknesses were. You are still a young "buck" Keep going in the direction you are going and you will do well. Loads of love Mom and Dad

Ah, I remember how much Akoni likes his ice cream. Can't say I blame him.

Welcome to the old-timer's club of 29. It has been good so far.

Wow, that friend of yours is awesome...oh wait, my name shows up on this doesn't it? Hmm, anyway, I was happy to watch them and the cake was delicious, thanks Akoni! Maybe next time we can get someone else to watch the kids and ALL go out! I'll cross my fingers, but I won't hold my breath, you never know when we can actually coordinate that.
